So when I was walking around earlier, I came upon this “Little Free Library” in front of a house.
This is a “Take a book, leave a book” kind of project done by the 7 year old kid who lives in the house. Inside was a note written by the kid saying that he created the little library because “people should never not have a book with them”.
This is probably the greatest thing I’ve ever seen.

Rice is the life force for much of Southeast Asia, and thrives in the rich volcanic soil. But the gods who call the ring of fire home aren’t always so benevolent. Gunung Agung, Bali’s highest peak has been quiet since a devastating eruption in the 1960’s - and hopefully stays that way for a while.
At daybreak, we hiked the 5 mile Campuan Ridge west of central Ubud. After crossing Sungai Wos (one of Ubud’s main rivers) we began the steep ascent on a narrow trail surrounded by elephant grass. Reaching the top of the ridge, Campuan’s topography flattens out, revealing small farming villages, rice paddies and the occasional warung.
